Welcome to Matlock Cycling Club

Matlock Cycling Club is a volunteer run organisation that helps support the interests of cyclists across a whole spectrum of disciplines, catering for all ages and varying abilities. We are one of the country's premier cycling clubs with members ranging from children who are taking their first steps towards learning how to ride a bicycle, to cyclists who enjoy success racing at world class level. As part of a select group of cycling clubs across the country, Matlock CC has fulfilled the necessary criteria to achieve British Cycling’s Go-Ride Clubmark status and now holds this prestigious accreditation. Clubmark is a universally acknowledged cross sport scheme introduced by Sport England for community sports clubs which recognises high standards in welfare, equity, coaching and club management.

Clubs are required to submit a portfolio of evidence to show that they meet the relevant criteria, including suitably qualified volunteers, regular coaching sessions and club development plans. Matlock CC have demonstrated an environment that ensures member welfare and promotes cycling as a lifelong sport.

The club has a regular event programme for all the family. Over the year, it includes such things as training, coaching sessions, weekly rides, indoor bike roller racing and a full programme of racing opportunitites which is as much social as competitive!
