News items to note:

Tuesday, 3rd July Inter-club Time Trial against Derby Mercury. Meet 18,15-16.30 at the Fellowship Room, St Matthews church, Darley Abbey Drive, DE22 1EF or 18.45-19.00 at the junction of Pildock Wood Lane and B5020 near Radstock Common. There is no 10 mile time trial at Matlock. Return Inter Club on Matlock course July 10th.

Coaching sessions for U12’s before School Holidays – July 7th & 21st, Whitworth Park, 09.30 -10.45

Entries close for the BSCA events at Darley Moor on 22nd July. East Mids BSCA Championships at Darley Moor. Morning : time trials including the GHS Central District Championships. Afternoon, from about 12.30 :circuit races. Entries close on Tuesday 10th July. Entries must be on BSCA forms - see club website - and sent to C Mottram, Parkside, Station Road, Darley Dale. DE4 2EQ . Entry fee £10 for the two events or £5 per event. Cheques made payable to Matlock

Matlock CC is holding cycle coaching weeks in Matlock and Ashbourne during the school summer holidays. The venues are Ashbourne Recreation Ground, July 23-27 and, Whitworth Park July 30 -August 3, 10.00 -12.00. The sessions consist of skills and fun races, all participants work towards TRIX Bronze, Silver or Gold/Elite awards. The sessions are part of Derbyshire Dales DC Summer Activity Programme and must be booked through the appropriate leisure centre, The Arc 01629 581322, or Ashbourne 01335 343712.
